Meet Megan, your designer
Mela Design Co is a one-woman studio founded and operated by artist Megan Mulcahy. Every aspect of an invitation project runs through her - from first inquiry, to design and print, all the way through to the careful packaging of the invitations. A deep level of care and precision goes into everything she creates.
Megan believes a truly standout invitation earns its place as a keepsake. It's the one that feels different in your hands and looks twice as beautiful on second glance. This conviction is the driving force behind Mela Design Co and is the foundation of every invitation that carries the Mela Design Co name.
Megan is known for her minimalist design style, with a focus on typography, luxury print techniques, and elevated accents. She offers years of wedding invitation design and printing expertise, and has a true passion for the technical side of the craft that makes exceptional printing results possible.
Life outside the studio:
When I'm not designing, I'm usually planning my next trip. I consider travel to be, hands down, one of my greatest joy in life. I'm also a lifelong student at heart, endlessly curious and always learning something new - painting, photography, linguistics - you name it!
Closer to home, I love exploring my own city of Seattle, cheering on the Mariners (for better or worse), and spending time with my Shiba Inu, Geraldine, who is my creative studio companion.
