ORDER PROCESS
1. Select your desired quantity and place the order. Visit our Embellishments page to add any upgrades to your set.
2. mela design co will email you a form within 2 business days requesting your Save the Date wording and other customization selections like envelope color.
3. We will then send you a digital proof of your customized Save the Dates within 2 business days of receiving your completed questionnaire.
4. You can then respond with your proof approval or request for revisions. Up to two proof revisions are included in your order; any changes thereafter will incur a $30 fee per proof. Your response is requested within two business days - any longer may affect the delivery timeline of your order.
5. Once your final proof approval is received, your order will be immediately put into production. No changes can be made to your order once you submit your proof approval. Orders will be shipped 1-2 weeks after we receive your proof approval. More complex orders may take an additional week.
PAPER
Items are printed on thick, 100# richly-colored Black cardstock paper. We can swap out paper colors for a fee. Please contact us with your desired paper color before ordering to ensure we can accommodate your request.
PRINTING
Pieces are printed using white ink digital printing on a specialized white ink printing press. This produces vibrant, opaque white ink with a flat finish. Please note that while we aim to represent colors as accurately as possible, computer screens calibrate color differently, so the color you see on your screen may vary slightly from the printed colors you will hold in your hand.
QUANTITY:
Order for the number of households you will be sending Save the Dates to, which is often less than the total number of guests. We highly recommend ordering extra sets (about 15% more) to account for any potential guest list changes/additions, as reprints and rush fees can be costly.
UPGRADES
We can further customize your suite with elegant upgrades like:
- Wax seals (pre-made or hand-poured)
- Envelope address printing for the main envelope and rsvp envelope
- Stamp curation/assembly

RUSH ORDER
We offer a rush package that expedites the design, production, and assembly of your Save the Dates. Our Save the Date rush fee is $75. Please contact us with your need-by date to confirm availability.
SAMPLES
Samples are a great way to see and feel the quality of our paper and printing in your own hands! Sample sets include a Save the Date card and corresponding Envelope. Please note that samples cannot be customized. If you’d like to see a particular envelope color, let us know in your order and we will include a sample of your desired color if available. Samples usually ship within 1-3 business days.
